For that better option is to use a wordpress image slider plugin that helps you create a beautiful sliding photo gallery within few minutes without writing any codes.
I’ll tell you which plugin to use and how to create image slider in wordpress using a plugin, you just follow the steps mentioned below.
How to add image slider in wordpress ?
For this tutorial I am using “Ultimate Responsive Image Slider Plugin”. You can find out any other plugin that you like, there are lots of them available for free and also few really cool premium plugins on wordpress.org/plugins.
I have also shared a list of best free slider plugins , check this list out you might like these plugins.
First of all, get image slider plugin installed and activated on your blog. If you don’t know to install a plugin check out embedded video at the end of this post, video will help you figure it out.
Once you activate plugin, it will be automatically added to your wordpress menus (if you can’t find it, check under settings). Open plugin page, and create a new image slider. Name your slider and add all the images that you want to add.
After uploading images make sure you add title and description text to each image in slider. This text will be visible on images. You can keep title and description text fields empty if you don’t want any text to show on images.
Next step is to apply slider settings, check all setting options and set them as you want your image slider to look and behave. There are different setting options which include color, slider size, animation, navigation etc so make sure you check all of them.
Now copy slider shortcode and press publish button to save your slider.
Open post or page where you want your slider to add and paste slider code there. And you are done here.
Preview of your post to check if slider showing correctly, if you see anything wrong you can correct it by re-editing your slider.
Watch video below. All steps mentioned above in this post are done in video as well.
